Help me identify a song from around 1985?

I'm pretty sure it is a man singing and it's kind of soft rockish (Phil Collinsesque). It talks about a little girl growing up and her dad leaving them and then coming back.

Some lyrics:

She wore a blue dress on her very first day of school.
Momma cried as she drove away,
Tears for then, but more tears for yesterday.

She wore a white dress,
And her momma's single strand of pearls...

I remember this song from when I was very young (first non kid song I ever knew the words to), but I can't track it down anywhere!

Any ideas?

The real Phil Collins sound alike from the 80's was Marrilion.

But Scottish bands - Ultravox (Midge was Scottish, anyway). Also Runrig - but I guarantee you never heard of Runrug - even though they were huge for about 5 minutes (Heart Hammer).

How do i get into the my pokemon from my fire red to pearl?

I have my national pokedex and i have beat the eliet 4. i want to migrate i know where the migrate from fire red to pearl is on the main screen. but the screen says pokemon cannot be returned to the gameboy advance game pak what do i do to be able to migrate my pokemon from each game.

Up to now, you have done very well. Now, what you would need is:
1- You need to place the Fire game in the DS, inside the GBA slot
2- You gotta make sure the Pokemon you will send are NOT on your team, in the Fire game
3- Turn the DS game on & go the Pearl main screen, go down to the "Migrate Pokemon selection"
4- Select 6 of the Pokemon that you wanna send to Pearl, but make sure they do not know any HM's, since this would deny you to make a good migrate

Well, that's all you need, once you do all that, go to the PalPark & catch the Pokemon you want.

Does anyone know the name of a jewelry store in Skagway, Alaska with a man (cowboy) standing out front?

I went to Skagway last week and saw a really nice pink mother of pearl ring and now i wish I had bought it. But I can't remember the name of the jewelry store. A man dressed like a cowboy was standing out front and I believe they said he was security for the store.
