Is "Crystal clear" a metaphor or a simile?

I've recently been arguing with a friend about this. Personally i think that it is a simile as you are comparing the object to a crystal's clarity, it is just rephrasing clear as a crystal.

That is my opinion and i need confirmation if I'm right or wrong about this, so which one is it? and why would be helpful too

It's a metaphor. You're saying it *is* crystal clear - not that it is clear like crystal.

What Roxie the Reindeer is it, the red or black nosed one. the red nosed is worth more.

Kaleidoscope the cat is a good beanie and worth alot to collectors, maybe eight pounds each as they are in good condition, but it depends if people will buy them at that price.

I want to go on a vacation where the ocean is crystal clear like it is in the Cayman Islands, Bali, and other tropical areas...Where the sand is clean and the water clear ...
