I'm looking for a new home telephone, which is best?
We really need new home phones for our house and they have to be in a pack of four(quad) because of the size of our house and family. We've narrowed our search down to these two phones...
http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/5526053/Trail/searchtext%3EPANASONIC+QUAD.htm#tabrev
and
http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/5527241/Trail/searchtext%3EBT+HUDSON+1500.htm#tabrev
but we can't decide which one. The prices are coins away from each other so we cant just pick the cheapest and one has 53 reviews while the other has only 4, making if hard to compare them. Overall the Panasonic phone seems best but according to the reviews the ring-tones are pathetic and my daughters are complaining that it's too ugly as it will be used all the time and would be nearly always in sight.
Has anyone got one of these? What are they like? Would you recommend something different?
Thank you in advance
From a performance point of view.
- Best range from the base
- Best Voice quality
the panasonic will win hands down.
Many people I know have them...and each one has been impressed (not say astounded) by the range and power of the Panasonic models (does not seem to matter which one) over the last few years.. right upto 6 months ago. So there is clear consistancy.
BT re-brand many different (cheap?) companies, and it is difficult to compare one single model, and they do change.
Asthetics. and in oparticulkar ring tones, really should not enter into it,
The panasoincs do have a range (even if not wide) so different people can be given different ring tones, but is the BT one really that much better. and at the end of that day..
- if it was a bad ring..surely it would be an incentive to answer it
(and stop the ring !)..
- It is the Voice quality and range that should be primary (which is what it is there to do) not a few seconds of attention grabbing (the ring).
(and how much/long is 'she' going to be using it for ?... whose house...)
Oh for the days when all phones had a single ring...
My vote as you can see, is clearly for the panasonic.
