x box 360 power supply question?
i have a 16.5 amps power brick which is huge- came with my system manufactured in 07
i know the jasper power brick is 12.1 amps
which obviously takes up less power and is smaller
so that also decreases chances of overheating.
but my question is:
will it be compatible with a non-jasper xbox 360
(i want to minimize the chances of getting rrod)
There are three different xbox 360 PSU's and they all have different plugs specifically to stop you from hooking them up to an incompatible 360 (which is exactly what you're proposing to do). The new 360 revisions have improved hardware that runs at a lower power consumption level, so they require less power from the PSU.
If you tried to run your 360 with a PSU that doesn't provide enough power, it would be extremely unstable, if it ran at all.

HTC has rolled out different types of phones, including the S-series, T-series, X-series, A-series and the P-series. No matter which series' phones one talks about, HTC mobile phones have never disappointed its users till date and has infact given more than what they have expected. The HTC Magic is the latest successor to Google G1. The Magic is also dubbed the G2 as it is the latest Google Android handset. Vodafone has managed to get the exclusive supplier rights of this new internet focused phone and that means you get the phone only on their network. T- Mobile was the suppliers of the first Android handset, the G1. The slide keyboard is missing in HTC Magic but it has a touch screen keyboard and it runs the latest release of Android which is codenamed as "cupcake". The Google G2 does not posses the physical QWERTY keyboard but instead has an on-screen QWERTY keyboard that is referred to as Cupcake. Due to this the thickness and the weight of the HTC Magic is reduced, making it look sleek, elegant and stylish. The only similarity in terms of looks between the two models is the chin at the bottom. This protects the handsets from scratches. As the Magic does not have the physical keyboard, its weight is reduced to 118.5 grams whereas the HTC G1 weighed 158 grams. But it is observed that a lot of people still prefer the G1 due to its physical keyboard. The original model did not have video recording and playback facility that is available now in HTC Magic, though it only supports 3GPP and MPGE4. If you consider black as ugly than opt for the Magic because it has a shiny finish and is white in color. The battery timing is the same in both the models but the stand-by time is greater in the HTC G2 model. The talk time is also more than 6 hours in the advanced model. G-sensor is include in the Magic version which was absent in G1. So with the latest version you can align the screen even if it is held vertically or horizontally. The two models are unique in their own way with a little bit of software up gradation in the newer version i.e. HTC Magic. The choice is ultimately with the user of the handset.
