Knitters: Have you tried adjustable length circular knitting needles?
What do you think of them? Is there a brand you like or one you'd stay away from? Why?
Although many people will tell you they like the Denise set, I have tried it and it did come apart when the work got heavier. This happened to me several times with different size needles. I don’t know if I got a defective set, since other people seem to be very happy with theirs. With the Boye system, the needles screw onto the cables, and if you use the little key to tighten it, it stays together. Even if you don’t and the needle starts to unscrew, you can see it very quickly, before it separates, because the stitches get caught in it, so all you have to do is tighten it back, while with the Denise set, my stitches would just fall out before I had a chance to put it back together.
