What kind of bottom feeder can I get?
I have a 55 gallon freshwater tank. I have several species of rainbow fish and lots of live plants. The pH is kept low for the rainbows, about 6.5. My problem is that I have fluorite as the substrate. Its not rounded is somewhat sharp. I had 8 cory cats but all of their mouths got cut up so I had to take them all out.
Is there any type of fish that may pick at the bottom but not dig up my gravel? Do I even need a bottom feeder? There are so many plants that the nitrates never go above 20ppm.
Good point fish man. I've just always had bottom feeders in every other tank I've kept. This is the only tank I've used fluorite in.
