Are sapphire blue eyes possible?
When I was little I used to imagine what a person with such a deeply, richly blue eye color would look like. I realize that I haven't ever actually met a person who's eyes were actually naturally that intensely blue. they're always a cold and icy blue color (which isn't really my preference, though I do find it pleasing).
So I'm wondering: Do dark blue eyes exist? Eyes as dark as sapphires?
I apologize by the way... I have no idea where to place this sort of question.
It has been said, and I agree, that Elizabeth Taylor has what the movie industry called VIOLET eyes, which in reality LOOK very sapphire, versus that sky blue you refer to. Just stunning...and she had them LONG BEFORE tinted contacts came along.
There are enough color photos of her extant to prove my point, though I am afraid I don't have any to post. I also knew a delightful woman who had them as well. I have yet to notice a third person so blessed, lo these 40 years.
